Rachel Sobczak, DPT
Dr. Rachel Sobczak, PT, DPT, RYT300 grew up in Rochester, Minnesota before moving to Oregon and settling down in the beautiful City of Roses.
She completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Carroll University in Waukesha, WI, receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with a Psychology minor in 2013 and her Clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2015.
She is excited and honored to be joining the very skilled team of therapists at Orthopedic & TMJ Physical Therapy Center.
Dr. Rachel uses a multifaceted approach for her treatments. She integrates her years of clinical experience, hands-on manual therapy techniques, pain science education and functional yoga movements to create individual and holistic treatment plans.
She approaches her work full of curiosity and amazement. She believes that the human body is incredible, resilient and powerful. She integrates current literature and proven treatment methods to find unique and effective solutions for each individual she works with.
Dr. Rachel is a passionate lifelong learner. She is an advanced Yoga teacher, having received her 300-hour Yoga certification from Udaya Yoga in 2019. She is currently training to become a Certified Craniosacral Therapist with the Upledger Institute and a Certified Pelvic Health Therapist with Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She specializes in pain science education and vestibular and balance training. She recently spoke at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland on how to utilize a biopsychosocial approach to managing pain through education and movement.
When she isn’t working, you can find her making ceramics in her home studio, playing board games and making music with her fiancé Derek, or exploring the PNW with her pup River.
